Robyn "The Beaver" Beverland (1957 - 1997)

Born on  March 5th, 1957 Robyn had a rare genetic disorder known as "WOLFRAM SYNDROME".  This disorder is little understood by modern medicine.  He was blind in his right eye and had only partial vision in his left eye.  He could hear only out of his left ear.  He suffered from other medical conditions such as diabetes, urinary problems, poor coordination, problems with swallowing, dermatological disorders and degeneration of the lungs and heart.

Not expected to reach fifty, Robyn treated each day as a wonderful gift from God. He lived as if he had no medical problems at all.  He was always concerned for and lived his life to help others.

Robyn was able to reach and help hundreds of people during his short lifetime. He knew exactly how to live with love, dignity, humility, and above all, faith in God.

Robyn suffered greatly towards the end of his life, but never complained or assigned blame about his condition. He left us with a legacy of artwork, created by a man who could barley see, through a body racked with pain. His story is one of selflessness and courage.
