Most famous for her quilts, Sarah Mary Taylor also makes drawings. A life-long resident of Mississippi, Sarah loved to draw the Statue of Liberty. Other subjects often grace her canvas (or poster board) such as school buses and human feet. She uses bright colors and her paintings have an enduring child-like quality. A few exhibits that have included her work: 1986 - "Word and Image in American Folk Art" Kansas City, Missouri: Mid-America Arts Alliance. Traveled throughout the Midwest. 1993 - "Passionate Visions of the American South.
