Most famous for her quilts, Sarah Mary Taylor also makes drawings. A life-long resident of Mississippi, Sarah loves to draw the Statue of Liberty. Other subjects often grace her canvas (or poster board) such as school buses and human feet. She uses bright colors and her paintings have an enduring child-like quality.

 A few exhibits that have included her work: 

1986 - "Word and Image in American Folk Art" Kansas City, Missouri: Mid-America Arts Alliance. Traveled throughout the Midwest. 

1993 - "Passionate Visions of the American South. Self- Taught Artists from 1940 to the Present" New Orleans Museum of Art. 

1994 - "Folk Art From The Collection of  Sally M. Griffiths " at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas. 

1997 - "Outsider Art: An Exploration of Chicago Collections" Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs/Intuit
