In his own words...

Born April 24th, 1947 a 9 pound baby boy with green eyes and red hair to a Hungarian father and Scottish/English mother. Always alone but never lonely. Extremist, Idealist, Dreamer, yet logical at least on some level. Wanting to co-mingle with the realm of beauty. Prefers all things natural. Loves the setting sun and twilight time. Has written a good deal of poetry not yet published. Hobbies have been a lifetime of curiosity and serious study of literature, philosophy, aesthetics, psychology, and theology.  Wanting only to help create beauty and earn a living while hopefully living a long and healthy life. All work is original and creative, sometimes leaning towards the surreal.

Began painting in 1969 only to abort for family considerations. The responsibilities of raising a son alone pushed painting aside. Began again in 1986 and by 1988 painting became a full-time occupation to which I am totally committed.

Gallery Note:

Rickie's work represents some of the most original watercolors we have ever seen. Untrained artists seldom choose this medium and Rickie is the only artist we represent that is currently working in watercolor. We think you'll agree that the combination of watercolor with the untrained eye is quite astounding.
