Works for sale by Juanita Rogers
Juanita began making mud sculptures as a child in South Alabama. Born near Montgomery, she started integrating found objects and cast-away materials in her art. She took inspiration from television to create a limited number of drawings, which are highly prized by collectors. She is featured in Kathy Kemp’s book “Revelations: Alabama’s Visionary Folk Artists.” Juanita’s work has been part of several exhibitions and she is considered to be one of the most important folk artists of the American South. |
