Brian Dowdall’s bright cheerful interpretations of whimsical animals painted on cardboard and framed in all types of recycled materials has earned him nationwide attention and respect. Now his fame is beginning to circle the globe as he has just returned from a show in Edinburough, Scotland. 

He is represented annually in the Kentuck Folk Art Festival as a guest self taught artist. He has been represented in The Outsider Art Fair, Puck Building in New York City for six years straight beginning in 1993. The Terrace Gallery, in Orlando Florida Showed his paper bag backyard sand creatures and used his six 10ft cardboard animal spirit snake paintings for the pillars entrance to the show " The Passionate Eye." The Magazine Raw Vision featured his backyard sand creatures in their # 9 volume. His art work is also hanging in the Smithsonian as part of the folk art collection of Mr. Hemphill.

His paintings are included in numerous private collections among the more famous of these collectors are:
